Our dog is missing as of last night, but we haven't yet told our son. I keep hoping someone will call before he gets home from school saying that he is safe and ready to come home. As I sit here typing, I can only think of two "boy and his dog" books: Old Yeller and Lassie. I am wondering if anybody could make a more modern recommendation. My son is such a reader that I would like to get him a book to read to help him process this loss.
